SAITAMA headquarters.
It was a large, modern building, designed with a sleek, angular style. The lobby was bright and airy, with floor-to-ceiling windows that afforded a stunning view of the cityscape.
I walked up to the reception desk and gave my name. A young woman appeared a few moments later.
"Hello," she said. "How can I help you?"
"I'm here to see Masahiro Saito."
"Do you have an appointment?"
"No," I said. "I just wanted to talk to him about some work I'm doing."
The receptionist regarded me for a moment, then frowned. "Mr. Saito is currently unavailable."
"I see," I said. "Is there any way I could leave a message for him?"
The receptionist consulted her computer screen. "Yes, I can set up an appointment for you to speak with his assistant. Would two o'clock tomorrow be convenient?"
"That would be great," I said. "Thank you."
I walked back out into the city, feeling slightly disappointed. I had hoped to catch up with Saito in person and discuss the project I was working on. But it seemed that wasn't going to happen. I guess I'll just have to wait until next week.
I reached the office tower and headed up to the seventeenth floor. I found the assistant's office and left my message, then headed back down to the street.
As I was walking away, I saw a figure emerging from the building. It was Saito. He looked tired, but he smiled when he saw me.
"Hi," he said. "I see you've been looking for me."
"I have," I said. "I was hoping we could talk about my project."
Saito nodded. "Of course. Let's go inside."
