Hackers stole $30 million worth of bitcoin from Bitfinex, one of the world’s largest digital currency exchanges.
Bitfinex is a Hong Kong-based bitcoin exchange which allows users to trade bitcoin, litecoin, dogecoin, and Peercoin.
The attack was carried out on August 2nd, and the hackers made off with 119,756 BTC (roughly $30 million at the time).
The company has since announced that it will be suspending all trading activity while it investigates the breach.
