This document describes how to configure SKEY support for a Kubernetes cluster.
Before you begin
Make sure you have the following:
A Kubernetes cluster running version 1.7 or later.
SKEY support enabled on each node in the cluster.

To enable SKEY support on a node in a Kubernetes cluster
In the kubectl command-line interface, type the following command: kubectl get nodes If you are not yet authenticated with the cluster, you will be prompted for your credentials. Once you have authenticated, you can enter the following command to list all of the nodes in the cluster: kubectl get nodes -o name | grep key-node If the node is not listed with the key-node label, then the node does not have SKEY support enabled. To enable SKEY support on a specific node, enter the following command: kubectl get nodes -o name | grep key-node key-node If the node is not listed with the key-node label, then the node does not have SKEY support enabled. To verify that SKEY support is enabled on a node, enter the following command: kubectl get skey-configuration If the output looks similar to the following, then SKEY support is enabled on the node: skey-configuration: key-type: "SHS" name: "my-skey" role: "server" encrypted: true Configuring SKEY support on a node is only necessary if you plan on using SKEY in your applications. kubectl set skey-enabled="true"
