The Falcon 9 (F9) is a family of two-stage-to-orbit launch vehicles designed and manufactured by SpaceX. The Falcon 9 was designed with reuse in mind from its inception. SpaceX believes that reusing rockets is the key to making human spaceflight affordable and hopes to ultimately recover and reuse all first stage boosters. The first stage of the Falcon 9 is powered by nine Merlin engines. The second stage is powered by a single Merlin engine. Both stages are equipped with grid fins for aerodynamic control and landing legs for recovery and reuse. The Falcon 9 has a diameter of 3.6 meters (12 feet) and a height of 70 meters (230 feet). The vehicle has a mass of 549,500 kilograms (1,211,290 pounds) fully loaded with propellant. The Falcon 9 rocket is launched from SpaceX’s launch sites at Cape Canaveral Air Force Station, Florida, and Vandenberg Air Force Base, California.

Falcon (F9) support.
As part of the Falcon 9 launch manifest, SpaceX has now confirmed that they will be flying a Standard Falcon 9 with a new first stage – the Falcon 9 Full Thrust.
This new version of the Falcon 9 is designed specifically for high-energy launches such as those needed to send heavy payloads into orbit.
The Falcon 9 Full Thrust is expected to have several enhancements over the standard Falcon 9. These enhancements include a strengthened structure and increased thrust.
Additionally, the Falcon 9 Full Thrust will also feature a new rapid-fire Merlin 1D engine. This new engine will allow the Falcon 9 to fly higher and faster than previous versions of the Falcon 9, allowing it to carry heavier payloads into orbit.
This new Falcon 9 Full Thrust launch vehicle is currently scheduled to launch in late 2018.

What is Falcon (F9)?
Falcon (F9) is a public-private partnership between SpaceX and Google. The goal of this partnership is to make it easier for people to access and use the internet from anywhere in the world. Falcon (F9) consists of nine satellites that will provide broadband internet service to people in countries that don't have access to high-speed internet.
Falcon (F9) headquarters.
Falcon 9 was the first rocket to be designed and built at the company's headquarters in McGregor, Texas.
The Falcon 9 rocket is designed to be reusable and can be flown multiple times. The first stage, composed of nine Merlin 1D engines, returns to Earth and lands on a drone ship, while the second stage, composed of nine Merlin 1D engines, continues to carry the payload into orbit.
