AIR phone number.
Aircraft typically provide air support to ground forces by providing close air support (CAS) or direct fire support. CAS missions are flown by fighter aircraft, while direct fire support missions are flown by bombers and attack aircraft.
Close air support is flown when the ground troops need help immediately and when the distance between the aircraft and the ground troops is short. The fighter aircraft, usually a fast jet, will fly low over the battlefield and drop bombs or rockets on the enemy.
Direct fire support is flown when the ground troops need help from a long distance away. The bomber or attack aircraft will fly high in the sky and drop bombs or rockets on the enemy.

What is AIR?
AIR is a protocol that allows devices to communicate with each other over the internet.
The Pentagon is the headquarters of the United States Department of Defense. It is located in Arlington County, Virginia, across the Potomac River from Washington, D.C. The Department of Defense is the largest employer in the Washington metropolitan area, with over 1 million civilian employees and over 800,000 military personnel.
The Pentagon is bounded by Washington Boulevard on the south, Interstate 395 on the west, I-395 and the Lincoln Memorial on the north, and the Washington National Cathedral on the east. The Arlington County Courthouse lies just across the river to the west. The site of the actual building was chosen by General George Washington in 1791 as the site for the new national capital. The cornerstone of the U.S. Capitol was laid down there on July 4, 1793. The Army Corps of Engineers began construction of the building in 1838 and completed it in 1843.
